Age limits: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) recruitment 2025

• Air Force academy – 20 to 24 years as on 01 July 2026.
• Below 25 years of age candidates must be unmarried.
• Indian Military Academy – Male and unmarried candidates born not earlier then 2^nd July 2002, and not later than 1^st July 2007 only are eligible.
• Indian Naval Academy – Male and unmarried candidates born not earlier then 2^nd July 2002, and not later than 1^st July 2007 only are eligible.

Qualification: The Union Public Service Commission Recruitment Notification 2025

• For IMA and Officer Training Academy, Chennai – Any graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university by the govt of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the central government.
• For Indian Naval Academy: Any Degree in engineering from a recognized university or institution.
• Graduate with first choice as Army/Navy/Air Force are to submit the proof of graduation/provisional certificates on the date of commencement of SSB Interview.

Salary: The Union Public Service Commission recruitment 2025

• Military Service Pay (MSP) of the officer from the rank of Lieutenants to Brigadiers: 15,500/- PM Fixed.
•  Stipend of the officer cadet during the entire duration of the training in service academies i.e. during training period of IMA and OTA: 56,100/- PM (Level 10 Pay)
• Lieutenants: 56,100/- to 1,77,500/-
• Captain: 63,300/- to 1,93,300/-
• Major: 69400/- to 2,07,200/-
• Lieutenant colonel: 1,21,200/- to 2,12,400/-
• Colonel: 1,30,600/- to 2,15,900/-
• Brigadier: 1,39,600/- to 2,17,600/-
• Major General: 1,44,200/- to 2,18,200/-
• Lieutenant General HAG Scale: 1,82,200/- to 2,24,100/-
• HAG + Scale: 2,05,400/- to 2,24,400/-
• VCOAS/Army Cdr/Lieutenant General: 2,25,000/- Fixed
